Hello Amped Community!
I am sorry for being absent the last few months. BUT I am back!
I am changing the focus of Amped slightly…the themes of the content I write won’t change but the audience focus becomes a tad bigger. Independent consultants fit into this “bucket”…My focus is to write for tech professionals involved in developing, managing, and delivering tech projects and programs.
While I initially had themes of independent consulting, program management and a minor sprinkle of product into my posts, realistically my vision for Amped (and previously TeachIt) was to upskill people in their use of common sense skills and applying that to their everyday work. Our dependency on tech is that we have forgotten about how to use common sense effectively. This is further exasperated by our desire for instant results, taking shortcuts and reactive decision-making. What was common is uncommon. Maybe they never were common…just a bad assumption on our part.
Here are the 15 common sense skills that I believe people need to really thrive at work (and will be the focus of Amped moving forward):
Financial Literacy in tech projects and programs
Adaptability
Emotional Intelligence
Decision Making
Conflict Resolution
Resilience
Teamwork and Collaboration
Personal Health
Tech Chops
Self-Awareness
The benefit is that I have written about some of these topics and will continue to do so in future posts.
Content will start to flow in the coming weeks; including re-releasing some content with updated insights.
I look forward to your comments and feedback.
Thanks for reading and your support!
